August already...really?

Where does the time go? I absolutely cannot believe that Zachary will be 5 months old in just a week or so. He is getting so big and seems to be changing everyday. He is loving solid foods including rice cereal, oatmeal and carrots. Next on the list to try are green beans and sweet potatoes. Hopefully he will be a much better and less picky eater than his mommy. He is rolling over all the time now. As soon as I lay him down at night he rolls over on his side and often sleeps that way for a while. He can now roll back onto his back. However, if he rolls all the way onto his belly he can't yet roll back so then I hear him crying out for mommy to come fix it. HA! But I'm sure he will figure this out soon. He loves playing in his Exersaucer and his Johnny Jumper...he just hasn't quite learned that he can make them move and bounce yet. He is wearing some 6 month clothes and mostly 6-9 month clothes. We went to the Just Between Friends childrens consignment sale this weekend and bought him some clothes for the rest of summer and even a few things for fall.

Mimi Ruf visited us two weekends ago. It was a great weekend for her to get away and spend some time catching up w/ Zachary. She is doing well but is obviously continuing to struggle with the loss of my daddy. She is staying busy, which has been very good for her. It is so hard to believe that daddy has been gone for more than a month now.

Mammaw Ledford continues to keep Zachary at our house two days per week but this will be ending after next week. Daycare only offers part-time during the summer months so with school starting back, Zachary has to go to full-time status. We are grateful for this option, which allowed for a nice transition to daycare. And I know that Mammaw enjoyed her time with Zachary. WE are so greatful that she willing to give up 2 days every week and stay here with Zachary. Maybe we can do it again next summer!
That's about it in Ledford life. We are just continuing to enjoy everyday with Zachary, and we both feel so blessed to be his parents. Of course I have included various pictures. Enjoy!
