Zachary had his 9 month check-up today. Have I ever mentioned how much we love our pediatrician, Dr. Josh Smith? He is wonderful and we are so blessed to have him. Zachary weighed in at 22 pounds 12 oz and was 30 1/4 inches long. He has grown so much since he was born at 7 pounds 15 oz and 21 inches. Some days it is so hard to believe how much he has grown.
Dr. talked with us a lot about Zachary's nutrition. He is doing so well with his eating that Dr. said we can start weaning off of baby food and onto all table food. Zachary already has at least 1 meal per day that is table food and sometimes more. Dr. said that Zachary can basically eat anything that we eat now. We are to continue with formula for 2 more months then change over to whole milk around 11 months. We also need to start trying to transition from the bottle to the sippy cup for milk so that the bottle can be gone by 1 year. Zachary already drinks water from his sippy cup very well so the addition of milk should go well. In fact, I gave him 2 oz of formula in his sippy cup after dinner tonight. He did great and drank it all. Such a good boy. Dr. also felt like Zachary was right on track developmentally. He has been a little slow to crawl but has been very mobile. Now he is starting to crawl in "spider man fashion" as we call it. He almost has the hang of it. I can't believe that in a few short months we will having a 1-year check-up and a 1-year birthday party.
I don't have any new pictures in the past few days but I will post some soon. There should be lots of Christmas pictures coming soon. We can't to see all of Zachary's excitement at Christmas!!!
